Every ammunition and firearm transaction is required by the CA DOJ to go through DROS(Dealer’s Record of Sale). This functions as a background check form, reporting system, and gun registration system. California registers all legally transferred and purchased firearms through the DROS system.

FEES:

DROS for firearms - $37.19

DROS for ammunitions(standard) - $1.00

Firearm Transfers - $40 per firearm

Intrafamilial Transfers - $40 per firearm

Private Party Transfers - $25.00 (per firearm) + DROS

If you purchased your firearm through a different vendor, there will be a $25.00 per firearm fee to conduct the transfer and $10.00 for every 1000 rounds for ammunition, the maximum transfer per customer is 10,000 rounds per transaction. You will be charged CA tax on top of your invoice unless your seller has charged you CA tax already.  A copy of your invoice is necessary for documentation. 

All shipments to our facility must have a “signature required” from the courier. If we did not sign it, we did not receive it. We are not responsible for lost items. We offer free lodging of your items for up to 4 weeks. After the 4 weeks, there will be a charge of $10.00 per week. Anything left for over 2 months are considered abandoned.

HANDGUN SAFETY TRAINING

$150 per student

We offer a comprehensive handgun safety training program for the proper use of a firearm. We are in full alignment with the NRA guidelines for firearm safety. Our Introduction to Shooting Course is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of firearms and marksmanship. Our instructors will teach you how to safely handle a firearm and help you improve your aim. Class is individualized to each student’s learning curve

• Class and range time will run 3 to 4 hours
• Class materials and range equipment included
• A variation of 3 to 5 firearms may be used(pistols & revolvers)
